Software Engineer | Speaker | Mentor

I am a software engineer, mentor and speaker, passionate about technology and the impact it can have on people's lives.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse technology stack, including PHP, TypeScript, Elixir, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Kafka and Neo4j, also applying patterns such as Event Sourcing, CQRS and microservices architectures. Currently, I am part of the Coverflex team, where I specialize in Elixir and contribute to building robust, scalable systems ready to grow.

I have had the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in countries such as the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany. These experiences have not only enriched my technical skills, but also shaped the way I approach collaboration, communication and software engineering.

But technology, for me, goes far beyond code.

I believe that a stronger industry is built by diverse people, with different perspectives and experiences. That is why I dedicate an important part of my time to mentorship, knowledge sharing and promoting diversity in technology. As ambassador of the Lisbon chapter of Geek Girls Portugal, I support initiatives that inspire, connect and empower women to develop careers in technology.

In 2025, I had the honour of receiving the Portuguese Women in Tech Award for Best Engineer. More than an individual recognition, I see it as a celebration of the path that so many women continue to open in technology and the importance of creating more opportunities for future generations.

Outside of work, I am driven by curiosity. In 2023, I decided to learn the violin, proving to myself that it is never too late to start something new. I enjoy studying, reading, spending time outdoors and sharing moments with friends. And, among all my passions, there is one that has been with me since forever: the fascination with the history and mysteries of Ancient Egypt.

If there is one thing that defines my journey, it is the conviction that growth happens when we constantly challenge ourselves, whether by writing code, learning a new skill or helping someone take the next step in their career.
